Gamespy have had a chance to test the upcoming Age of Conan exclusively, and are releasing a massive hands on report to boot.
The full report is absolutely huge, covering everything from screenshots, concept art, gameplay, character creation and whatnot. Everything you wanted to know about the game you will likely be able to find here!
The review especially fancies the great art direction and fun combat system aswell as the interesting character customization.

In fact, I was having so much fun just slaughtering Picts (helped by the fact that the AI is still quite crude) that I completely lost track of time. It was marvelous to watch the game's motion-captured animations. They actually gave a feeling of weight. Watching my character swing the oar (and later a sword), I could detect an infinitesimal pause just before he swung, simulating the need to overcome a heavy weapon's inertia, and a brief stumble as he exerted himself to stop the swing. Having severely reduced the local Pict population, I was ready to resume my journey to Tortage when my time ran out.
