Hello everyone. I bought Age of Conan not all too long ago, played it for a little bit, it's not too bad but I don't know anyone who plays it, so..I had a few questions...
1. Would anyone like to be my friend in game? I only have a lvl 8 so don't at all mind re-rolling on another server.
2. Which class should I play? I currently have a ranger, in Guild Wars back in the day I loved my monk, and in WoW I had a priest(liked both healing and shadow). I'm really up for whatever I suppose, except tanking. PvP would be nice, I DO enjoy healing, at least on previous games. Also, I of course need to be able to decently solo for leveling purposes.

Your in the right place, GameAmp has a special service for that, its the RAF, Rent-A-Friend, it costs nothing, and only requires a small piece of your soul, one that you'll never use anyways.
Seriously, why not join the Ampian Forerunner guild? Though im unsure now, it was Euro only i think, the American side was all splintered.
Being a little out of touch isn't bad, your argument is invalid.

i think alot of the amp members here play on a pve server can't remember which 1 ^^ but im one of the few people on the better servers! pvp Yeah :P Wildsoul ign Faarseer give us a shout i have no guild and play with a few people none from here but always try persuade the ampers to join us on a decent server :P

We (ampian forerunners) play on the RP Hyrkania server, which is a RPG server and all of us are EU. As for classes i'd recommend to fiddle around a little bit. You hace the ranger class and a priets class. But you can choose out of 3 of those; they all have healing properties; but use different ways in doing so; for instance; there is one that kind of resembles the monks in GW; but you also have a priest class that uses necrolike ways to accomplish healing.

Welcome to this nick o' the woods.
The healers are: Priest of Mitra. Bear Shaman and Tempest of Set. Priest of Mitra is the "cannot die" Healer who's sometimes a better tank than the tank classes but is more typically used in a White Mage setup. I.e. healing from the back. Bear Shaman is really a kind of Battle Cleric, needing to be in the front of the battle as their healing needs them to hit the foe. Finally there's the Tempest who's a kind of blend of thunderstorm / healing breeze AoE God.
Healers in this game are not as powerful on the healing front as in High Fantasy games. The trade-in is that they can actually punch a hole in a wet paper, also unlike most High Fantasy games, meaning you can solo as well.
Playing the Ranger class is still on my todo. I hear they're nice and some people will not invite them to groups for being overpowered / kill-stealers. Ranger has both strong ranged and melee attacks which is the envy of other classes who typically are only good at either ranged or melee combat.
It's best if you can laugh at yourself. Because if you won't, others will. It's always bestest when you're the one doing the laughing.
